Destiny (PS4) Review

“Extracting Destiny “the product” (which it represents better than any artistic flair) leaves a video game which is consistently frail and voided of deeper investment. With links set in place server-side, whether playing solo or not, Destiny ignores one’s possible desire to pause during hourlong-plus quests. Real-world distractions and server hiccups, in conjunction with few checkpoints, are gameplay dangers outside of the flanking AI routines with the behavioral instinct of Halo’s Covenant. It’s unacceptable, but allowing such expected features would impinge on the bogus selling point that Destiny is somehow a “service.” Should we tip server maintenance crews on weekends then?”
